Due to war and turmoil the project was never completed and the ships all stayed away. This painting is a melancholy reminder of the cost of war and the human desire for truth, justice, beauty and peace.

He is a loner who also craves attention and affection. His magical strength comes from his long braids and his strong heart which pumps the now extinct giant’s blood through his veins. This painting is a window into the many hidden mysteries all around us. In the imperfection there is perfection.

He spends this youth perfecting his skills so he can take back what was his. Anger is his best weapon but it is also a double edged sword. The journey changes him so that by the end he renounces power and possessions and becomes a sage who preaches forgiveness and tolerance among all living beings. This painting is about holding on to hope and light in dark surroundings. It is about keeping faith in uncertain times. We all have a dark side we have to acknowledge and learn from.
